COMMENTS (1) There is a PA dropout in the middle of Promised Land,
without a break in the tape--the timing would appear correct.
Deadbase notes a "power outage" during Promised.
Very small portion of Masterpiece is cut at the end, approximately 10
seconds. Bruce Hornsby on Accordian during Jack Straw, and probably
some other songs. Garcia introduces Hornsby after Jack Straw.
He is inaudible in the mix otherwise. Before "We Can Run," Weir
apologizes for "minute technical adjustments," that should take
"30 seconds or so." Healy puts the echo on "30 seconds or so," and it
repeats many times.

04/16/2002 Pete W I was at this show and during Promised Land the sound completely dropped out, the band stood around on stage for a second and when the power came on, with out missing a beat, they started right where they left off, truly a bizarre experience for my mushy mind. Definitely not a tape splice!
08/09/2002 Mr.Marmar Is this really a pure SBD??? Some points the crowd is so audible that is sounds like it may be a MATRIX of real high quality....like maybe a 90/10 mix...only reason I say this is because you can hear individual hand claps at some points, almost as if that person is right next to the mics...Still sounds great though :-)
09/09/2003 Hairfarmer 'Haven't heard this specific recording, but the crowd was VERY loud throughout the show. We were treated to a nice thunderstorm during the show(after a particularly hot day) and there are many instances of crowd outbursts, that I recall were reactions to the very active lightning show going on, especially during the second set.
10/29/2003 Brandon I Was at this show and I Wonder almost if that 'blackout' was 'planned', because the ability to not miss timing/a beat blew my Fricking mind.I Also met my the most beautiful blonde there who ended up finishing the tour with me
10/30/2003 sport I too was at this show and if memory serves me the loss of sound was more than second,in fact more like 10-15 seconds. And they did come back close to where they left off,if not xactly. And my,thats a friendly bunch down there. Thanks for the liquid!
10/02/2007 cool_breeze Disc three has five tracks, not the six listed in the text file. Drumz and Space are glommed together into a single track. For those of you keeping score at home, the correct tracking for disc three is:

d3t01 Drumz > Space >
d3t02 The Other One >
d3t03 Stella Blue >
d3t04 Not Fade Away

03/02/2010 charlie miller Yes, this is a sbd. ALL soundboard recordings from Spring 87 through the 12/31/90 are from the UltraMatrix box by Dan Healy ad Don Pearson. They used AKG mics at the sbd to mix into the recording feed.

Why is there a disc change in set one when the set can very easily fit onto one disc?
