01. Little Wing Jam (03-17-68, Cage Au Go-Go, New York City, NY Jimi Hendrix: guitar,Elvin Bishop: guitar,Buddy Miles: drums, Paul Butterfield: vocal, harmonica,Harvey Brooks: bass, Philip Wilson: drums,Herbie Rich: organ.) C-Love's Comments: "One of the best Little Wings ever played for sure. Even though there is not lyrics, this song is jammed well over the usually time of 4 minutes clocking in at around 9. Listen to Jimi come in around the 8 minute mark, screeching like a Banshee. Its the only way to describe it. He just comes in wailing. Its to bad though the person who has the masters to these decided to fade out all the tracks on this date!" 02. Hey Baby (Land of the New Rising Sun) -> 03. All Along The Watchtower (09-03-70, K.B. Hallen,Copenhagen,Denmark) C-Love's Comments: "This magical segue played only months before Hendrix died is one the shining points in his last few concerts. Jimi manages to get an almost "Cathedral Like" Sound on Hey Baby, Then seques nicely into a crazy watchtower. Listen to jimi in the second verse and through the end of watchtower throw in all the lead guitar licks in between verses. Crazy Crazy!" 04. Purple Haze (03-19-68, Capitol Theatre,Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Late Show.) C-Love's Comments: "An excellent sounding recording with Jimi showing the Canadian folks how to rock. The 3 minute distortion feedback sets the tone for this raunchy Purple Haze. The Mixture of Good Sound and Extended intro makes this one of the best hazes out there." 05. Pali Gap (From Out of Print Rainbow Bridge Soundtrack 1970) C-Love's Comments: "This great instrumental track was one of Jimi's last songs he was working on. There is not much known about this recording but was set to be on his upcoming album. Jimi is totally on fire on this track. The only words that come to mind are "Hot Trigger". Jimi is fast as hell and peaks in the middle of this song. Making it my favorite instrumental track!" 06. Stone Free (Funky Verison)(Part of the Rainy Day Sessions) Twice's Comments: Great Version of Stone Free. Showing Everybody out there that jimi was not just some mad loud distorted guitar player. Jimi really shows his funk on this one. Enjoy!" 07. Burning Desire (01-01-70, Filmore East, New York City New York Early Show, Band of Gypsys) Twice's Comments: "Great all around version of this song. Extending to almost 10 minutes. I love the way jimi goes into the fast jam after the lyrics are done. Then teases one of his unfinished songs called Night Bird Flying. Buddy Miles's steady drumming really adds fuel to keeping this song going. The combination of him and Billy Cox's Backround vocal bring alot to this great song as well!" 08. Bleeding Heart Blues (RAH - 2-2401969) Twice's Comments: "Great Bluesy Song with Extended Intro. This song Clock's in at 8:30 minutes. Hendrix really shines on this song! I was going to put a great version of Red House to fill this but decided to pick something obscure instead. Sorry!" 09. Machine Gun (08-30-70, Isle Of Wight Festival, East Afton Farm) Twice's Comment: Great Machine Gun closes this cd. This is one of the best Machine Gun's ever played clocking in at almost 22 Minutes. It includes Jimi picking up Security Guard Transmissions, A Great Drum solo by Mitch, And alternate lyrics tossed in on the ending! Jimi's distored guitar takes you to another level. If i had to pick a song to best describe Jimi, this song and this version would be on the top of my list. If you have a chance to pick this up on video, I promise you will not be dissapointed!
Collector Assembled Compilation of Apparent Favorite Song Versions. Great Listen > Outstanding Performance and Flow.

Personnel: Jimi Hendrix: guitar/vocals Buddy Miles: drums/backing vocals Billy Cox: bass Juma Sultan: percussion Watch Tower (WT 2004118) Liner Notes: In 1974 Alan Douglas was brought in by Warner Brothers to try to salvage some sort of product from the hundreds of remaining hours of studio material. Douglas' controversial approach to the task, wiping the original backing tracks and reformatting the songs using session musicians with Jimi's original guitar and vocals continues to provoke outcry from the diehard fans and critics alike. It has been admitted though, the album "Crash Landing" was a commercial success but the final result was not what the fans want. Now you can hear the original tracks and mix from the material that was used for the project Crash Landing.

Jimi Hendrix: Vocal, Guitar Mitch Mitchell: Drums Billie Cox: Bass Noel Redding: Bass on 3, 4, & 8 Here is yet another 'RL cut', done by vinyl cutting/mastering master Robert (a.k.a. Bob) Ludwig, who has done no less than five original US Hendrix vinyl pressings. The album was originally mixed and mastered in New York and so -in combination with Ludwig's cutting and mastering skills- it shouldn' t come as a surprise that this pressing is the only way to go for this album on vinyl. 'Hendrix in the west' has only had one CD reissue in its original form so far. This is the now highly sought after Polydor cd from 1988 which went out of print in the early nineties. This CD sounds quite good but when comparing it to this new rip (and also with the purple boxset tracks) it clearly has more hiss and less dynamical sound. My guess is that the CD was sourced from the 1972 UK lp masters, which would have to be one or two generation below the mastertapes. All of the tracks have since been reisued on EH releases, namely the purple box set, the Voodoo Chile/JH Collection, Blue Wild Angel and Live At Berkeley. But Tr. 01, 02 & 06 have so far only re-appeared as newly made remixes, so for authenticity you'll have to hear the vinyl or the original CD. What may be interesting to note is that the sleeve of the orig. US has a different song order than the actual album: Tr. 06, 05, 07, 04, 01, 02, 03, 08. It's very likely that this was the trackorder that the producers had in mind but that it was Ludwig who came up with the revisited order to make sure the lacquer cutting would be more convenient. (because this way side 1 would have been 25 minutes long and side B about 16). The original European pressings (including the 1988 CD) also have a slight trackorder twist: the A & B sides were reversed, making Johnny B. Goode the opening track. 'Hendrix in the west' was a huge success and went to 12 in the US charts. This is Jimi Hendrix stream of 127 torrents, including many upgrades and a great deal of torrents previously unavailable at PR Torrents. The idea is to gather at one place all relevant recordings and collections of the complete studio and the most of live materials, omitting only hard-to-listen audience recordings. All relevant informations on ATM series and Hendrix bootlegs, including detailed tracklists, on Hans-Peter Johnsen's In From The Storm site: http://home.online.no/~hpjohnse/hendrix.html

Compilation

Jam With Larry Young (AKA Fuzzy Guitar Jam) Jam With Larry Young Again Jam With Chris Wood & Dave Palmer Stepping Stone - I'm A Man Jam
1969 & 1970 ‘’Studio Outtake Jams” SBD - Studio Outtakes. The title "Jazz Stuff" really relates to the first two tracks with the the third possibly fitting loosely into the same category. Basically the first two tracks are jams with jazz keyboard player Larry Young,(Record Plant 14 May 1969 . > The third track is from Electric Ladyland studios, 15 June 1970 and has Chris Wood on sax and Dave Palmer on drums. This is often bundled up with the so called "Traffic Jams". > The final track is from the Hit Factory and probably dates from Sept. 6, 1969 when Jimi still had the Gypsy Sun and Rainbows lineup. Definitely A Solid Listen
