Frequently listed as Jimi's apartment, various dates in 1968. All previous entries have been merged into this one. This cd was an official CD that was only available if you purchased the book "Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend Of Jimi Hendrix". The book clearly states that these recordings were recorded in NYC around April of 1968; another session book pegs this date as April 12th. The book was published by Penguin Books in the USA, England, Canada and New Zealand and was first published in 1995 but I think it's no longer in print. The book is more like a hard-bound comic book and If anyone wants to try tracking it down, the ISBN# is 0-670-86789-6.

interview with Gus Gossert
KMPX came to prominence in 1967 under the driving force of Tom Donahue, and is generally credited as the first "underground" radio station. Robert Charles "Gus" Gossert worked at various radio stations from coast to coast throughout his short career, and died in 1976 at age 33, the victim of a shooting. But at the time of this interview he was an even younger 25, interviewing another 25-year-old, Jimi Hendrix. The tape runs about 9:18. and recording quality is quite good. Music is heard in the background during the interview, and sometimes as a door opens it gets momentarily louder. From comments made about the recording of Electric Ladyland, and the fact that Buddy Miles was interviewed a few days earlier, it suggests that this could well he from the Experience's Winterland stand between 10 - 12 October 1968. In fact, it's possible the interview may he backstage dunng the opening performance by the Buddy Miles Express.

Jimi Hendrix Best of the Bootlegs This compilation was put together over 2 months in late 2001. This is a compilation of many different Jimi Hendrix Bootlegs of varying qualities. the "Best" and most complete versions were selected and the duplicates and fakes were discarded. This left three 80 minute CDs worth of material. These are all studio sessions, mostly from 1968/69, with as much documentation as available.
