Bob Marley: vocals, guitar Fams Barrett: bass China Smith: lead guitar Seeco Patterson: percussion Donald Kinsley: guitar Tyrone Downie: keyboards Carly Barrett: drums Judy Mowatt: backing vocals Rita Marley: backing vocals Bob wanted to do this concert after Stevie Wonder did his benefit show in Jamaica a year before. Bob simply wanted to do a show for his people of Jamaica. In Jamaica you must get clearance from the government to perform a show of Bob Marley's size. When the prime minister heard of this he quickly took the opportunity making it seem that Bob was doing this concert in support of his politcal party when he called a general election to be held only days after the show. The politcal warfare that was going on during the election really started to heat up and if Bob Marley endorsed either side it would sway the election. So Bob was shot before this concert was to take place to stop him from performing. Bob took a few days to think it over and at the last minute with 80,000 people waiting he came down to the stage to do 1 song for the people. Still bandaged he performed an amazing 70 minute set which was as raw as any show I have ever heard. When "Keep on movin'" starts, there's a big roar. 80,000 people start to sing. Only live performances of Smile Jamaica and Keep On Movin in existance. After this show Bob went into exile for 18 months not returning to Jamaica till the One Love Peace Concert. The Yvette Acoustic Tape 1976 Recorded in one of Bob's girlfriend's houses this tape includes many songs that Bob never released and some that would become some of his most famous classics. The mood is really relaxed and Bob seems to be in a really great mood often laughing out loud at some of the things he is singing. He then gets a bit more serious with the deeply religious God of All Ages where he is accompanied by the heartbeat rhythm of a bongo drum. Rumors is also another great highlight featuring some fantastic vocal form. Bob on this tape also composes some of jammin as well as a very early rendition of Easy Skanking. He also chats a bit between songs about opening a hospital in Ethiopia. The tape closes out with Oh What a Day, which is a long very early version of what would become Misty Morning.

Playing soccer on their Brazil trip 1980 NPS Tv Documentary Dutch Subtitles West 57th Street Broadcast Date: October 25th, 1987 Hallen Stadium Zürich, Switzerland May 30th, 1980 San Siro Stadium Milano Italy Documentary 27-28th June '80 This video is a mix of 2 documentaries both Italian spoken. Air'd on a channel called TG2 (telegiornale 2) and the other is not known to me. First documentary features bob singin' no woman no cry,(sshots 1) audiences comin' to the stadium & the "marley marley" entrance, rastaman vibration live for the first documents. Second is bob comin' to Italy at the airport (sshots 3), an interview of bob (dubbed :(( ) (sshots 4) and bob rewarded with "il disco d'oro" (sshots 5)" The video has some problems, but the overall quality is ok. The voice of the locutor is over Bob some times, which is very annoying. And, the actual footage of the concert is very little, like only 5 minutes in total, more or less. But obvoiusly, still precious for the marley fan.
