This music was liberated from a bootleged Hendrix concert in a London coffeehouse.
Apparently a whole bunch of stars of the era stood in during this set, including:
Jim Morrison, Johnny Winter and Buddy Miles. The exact date of the event is
unknown(by me), but it features some incredible and hilarious music.
Track 4 ,"Morrison's Lament," features a hideously dosed Morrison throwing an
acid tantrum with gentle Jimmy trying to calm him down and keep his groove.
Despite of (or because of) the heavy medication sizzling on these tracks this
is some really great music...

Beginnings
1994 saw the release of the Alan Douglas produced "Blues" album. This was seen as one of his better efforts during his time managing Jimi's music. A cassette containing three outtakes was sent to a couple of high profile collectors shortly after. This tape contained Villanova Junction Blues, Hear My train A Comin' and Belly Button Window. For a while this tape was in very limited circulation amongst a few hard core collectors. Later the tracks saw the first light of day on the bootleg "500000 Halos"which was named after line in a poem written by Jimi post Woodstock. However there were more outtakes than those three and more has leaked out over the years (albeit in limited circulation). The tracks on this disc are taken from a set of 11 CDRS titled the Blues Project Outtakes.
Hear My train A Comin' is a composite made by Douglas of two different takes. New Rising Sun and the 27 minute Band Of Gypsys Villanova jam are not in general circulation as far as I know. Country Blues was released on the EH Box Set but this version of the straight mix is longer.

ary Moore tells the story of the greatest guitarist of all time and one of the most influential figures in rock music.
"I put on my Hendrix album and my son said 'Daddy, who's that' and I said 'well son, that's God'"- Robert Plant
The story of Hendrix's life unfolds over two parts, from his troubled boyhood in Seattle, through his days in the army and his early career as a jobbing musician supporting everyone from the Isley Brothers to Little Richard. True fame came when he was discovered by Chas Chandler of The Animals in a Greenwich Village caf? - Chandler offered to manage him, took him to swinging London and formed the Experience with Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell.
The release of Are You Experienced in 1967 announced the arrival of a major new talent, taking the British rock world by storm and setting new standards in guitar playing. Over the next four years Hendrix would revolutionise music, release a trio of groundbreaking studio albums and perform some of the most (often literally) incendiary live shows in the history of rock. There can be no better elegy for the war torn, drugged up, crazy sixties than Jimi's Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock.
When Jimi Hendrix died in London on September 18th, 1970, he left behind a legacy of music which still influences musicians to this day. It's worth remembering that everything on which Hendrix's reputation rests was recorded in just three years. The flood of albums released posthumously are testament to his prolific talent.
The programme features archive interviews with Jimi himself, and we also hear from Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Mitch Mitchell, Noel Redding, Chas Chandler, Brian May, Robert Wyatt and Jimi's longstanding girlfriend, Kathy Etchingham.

"Ross was known for low gen newly circulated genuine Jimi studio jams and concerts.
The songs on most of his stuff are at the right speed, it sure sounds clean, neat n complete.
These pre-date DAT tape too.
Anyway, Ross made a final offer one summer by providing an 11 tape series of all his studio stuff.
My friend took #2, 3, 6, & 7. Shortly after buying these tapes Ross generally dissappeared from the scene.

This is a prime time probe into the circumstances surrounding the death of Jimi Hendrix. Thankfully, at least half of the story deals with Jimi's life. Chas Chandler and Noel Redding add substance to this program, which questions how the official investigation was conducted. Long time girlfriend, Cathy Etchingham and Jimi's last lover Monika Danneman are at odds with each other over different issues. This report asserts that the Hendrix estate may be the cause of all this friction.
One thing is for certain - with factual inaccuracies and
trite cliches, the script for this report stinks. Sort of a VH1 meets Court TV meets Dateline NBC.
Jack Cafferty hosts.

Studio and private recordings.
The first four tracks are not as widely circulated as the other more well known acoustic Electric Ladyland sessions. Tracks 5 and 6 have never been circulated before and 'Our Lovely Home' is a new and unheard number. Tracks 7 and 8 come from the tape called 'All the ugliness in the world'. The final track is a long acoustic jam with Mitch Mitchell thought to originate from February, just before the start of the US tour in April 1970.
