sama'a chant from Morocco and Andalusia (separated into 4 tracks)

Like all the imperial cities of Morocco, Marrakesh, site of holiness par excellence, has always maintained the art of sama'a, or 'spiritual hearing'. Haj Mohamed Tbaik, accompanying the group, is currently regarded as the greatest poet of the spiritual 'zajal' in Morocco. His poetic works are very often elevated to the level of those holding high rank in this prestigious tradition of the Maghreb and al-Andalus, such as Abu Hassan Chucht?ri or Shaykh al-Harr?q. The sama'a group of Marrakesh, under the direction of Mohamed Azeddline, regularly interprets selected poems of sufi masters and of Haj Mohamed Tbaik, who is counted among the disciples of this group.
