Foo Fighters Kick Off 2023 Comeback Tour: Setlist + Video The band ran through a 21-song set and paid tribute to Taylor Hawkins in Gilford, New Hampshire on WednesdaY --Foo Fighters played their first full-band concert of 2023 at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion at Meadowbrook in Gilford, NH on Wednesday. The show served as a sort-of warm-up ahead of the band’s run of summer festival appearances. It also marked Foo Fighters’ first public gig with new live drummer Josh Freese, who has stepped in for the late Taylor Hawkins. The setlist spanned a total of 21 songs, kicking off with “Rescued,” the lead single from their new album, But Here We Are. They further previewed the album with performances of “Under You,” “Nothing At All,” and the album’s title track. During the show, Dave Grohl also paid tribute to Hawkins with an emotional solo rendition of “Cold Day in the Sun,” which marked the first live performance of the song in five years. “This is something I never thought I’d have to do,” Grohl said prior to the performance. “Taylor wrote this song, we used to sing it together. I’m gonna do it for him tonight.”---Other notable song selections included “Shame Shame” with Violet Grohl on vocals, and a set closing one-two-three punch of “Best of You,” “Aurora,” and “Everlong.” See the full setlist and fan-captured footage below. Foo Fighters will next head to Boston to headline Boston Calling this weekend. They’re also scheduled to appear at Bonnaroo, Louder Than Life, Austin City Limits, and Riot Fest, as well as play headlining dates with support from The Breeders. After a long weather delay, the Foo Fighters played for over two hours at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Pelham, AL, just south of Birmingham. People had traveled from all over to come to this and the seats were packed with an enthusiastic crowd even for this last song that started after midnight. We bet you were stunned when you first heard musical royalty THE FOO FIGHTERS would be back on stage in no time, performing live across the us and more…after a break from the scene? The boys are back in town this summer, after the untimely loss of their brother and band mate Taylor Hawkins, the almost annual tours came to a halt, so the return to stage makes the 2023 tour all the more important for the band and of course the loyal fanbase. THE FOO FIGHTERS will play at the ideal Oak Mountain Amphitheatre on Friday 16th June 2023. The foo fighters are a longstanding household name, even music lovers who aren't into grunge and the genre love a handful of their hits…from way back in the early 90s these guys have been hard on the scene, working their way up to platinum status and world wide success. You'll remember hits like 'Everlong', 'Times like these' and' All my life' all huge hits on the US billboard in the genre and beyond….But there is nothing quite like hearing it performed live in-front of a roaring crowd and the most insane atmosphere! All of which you can expect when the lads embark on this exciting come back tour fresh for 2023. The tragic death of the legendary foo fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 22 lead the band to halt touring until now. A huge loss to the band both personally and professionally, getting to the stage of new live performances and continuation of the band have been difficult. With dates added for 2023, the boys embark on a US tour to pick up where they left off, as they head out for a number for shows and festivals through spring and summer.
