This is a classic example of the daytime talkshow format in way too deep over it's head. The highlights...a stunning Michelle Phillips (The Mamas and The Papas), Timothy Leary in a very strange situation, and Martin Lee discussing his excellent book "Acid Dreams". The lowlights...the cheezy retro set design, Rick Overton trying too hard to be funny, and "fashion reporter" Pam Roberts giving a very pedestrian presentation of 60's style. It appears that I edited out what must have been an unbearable live fashion show when I archived this one (you're welcome!). Wil Shriner is a very talented guy, so I won't say anything negative about him here. Let's just say he did the best job he could, all things considered. Put on your love beads, light some incense and enjoy. This one's a hoot!
