"A South Side Wedding" Kirk-Kirsten West Wedding Reception NTSC DVD Checkerboard Lounge Chicago, IL 1991-09-15 Setlist Opening Credits Hideaway Got a Mind to Ramble That's Alright Tipitina You Don't Have to Go Goin' to California Feel So Good Sweet Home Chicago Just Before the Bullets Fly How Blue Can You Get Keep Your Hands Out of My Pockets I Got the Blues Little Red Rooster Good Morning Little Schoolgirl Tell the World I Do Don't Ever Leave Me The Thrill is Gone Kirk & Kirsten Dedications End Credits This is the 13th and final volume of the "Planet Hophead" series, which was an extensive collection of music video originally recorded by "Hophead," beginning in the 1980's. This volume is for fans of Chicago-style electric blues. The occasion was the wedding reception of Kirk and Kirsten West. For many years, West was the official photographer and "Tour Mystic" (tour mgr.) with the Allman Brothers Band, as well as frequent MC for a number of other bands, including Gov't Mule and the Derek Trucks Band. Since West is a blues fan and former Chicagoan, it seems fitting that both the ceremony and reception were held at the shrine of South Side blues, the legendary (and original) Checkerboard Lounge. These discs contain only the reception party. On hand that steamy September day, were Chicago blues greats Junior Wells and B.B. Odom, both of whom have since died. They were backed by journeyman South Side guitarist, Don Griffin, and the Griff Band. In addition, Warren Haynes and the late Allen Woody sat-in for a set, adding some tasty spice to the soul stew. I'd evaluate the video quality as very good, considering the age of the tapes and the technology used. The Planet Hophead logo, resized for a cover, is included in extras. Don Griffin, guitar, and the Griff Band Andrew "B.B." Odom - vocals Junior Wells - vocals, harmonica Warren Haynes - guitar, vocals Allen Woody - bass
