J-Card Comment:

This is the full performance and this time we have upgraded audio -- so don't you hesitate and grab this one! The "Haunt You Jam" alone is well worth the download -- it's mind-blowing!

After we had watched the full performance erwe said The King of Polyester (TM) for sure would love these girls. And just imagine if Mr. Dave joined them for a show...

In our opinion, Baskery is one of this year's mighty-fine discoveries like The Band of Heathens and The Felice Brothers.

So, how does Banjo-Punk sound like? Or Killbilly? Crystal clear -- like "Baskery". Baskery are: Greta, Stella and Sunniva, three sisters. Their father is Jan Bondisson, a professional musician from Stockholm, Sweden. For many years they performed together in the Rockabilly group "The Slaptones". In 2006 the three sisters got high on rebellion, quit "The Slaptones" and formed "Baskery". Sweet harmonies for three voices, a six-string slide banjo, a kick- and snare-drum, guitar and an upright bass... you can hear references to Pop, Blues, Rockabilly, Folk, and Punk.

So, no matter if it's Banjo-Punk, Killbilly, Mud Country or Mad Country -- these three gals from Sweden really rock da house. Amps 11 and off you go!
