Derek Trucks Band
The Variety Playhouse
Atlanta, GA
December 3, 2009
This was the second of two Variety shows for Derek. In addition to appearances by Susan Tedeschi, Tinsley Ellis and Jimmy Herring, there was a parade of drummers throughout the show, including Duane Trucks, Ed Toth of the Doobie Brothers, Jeff Sipe. I thank taper John Barren for this information
The crowd was pretty rowdy and as someone posted, you can tell it's the Variety when you hear the sound of a breaking beer bottle in the quiet part of Derek's solo on Key to the Highway.
