Thanks to all the hard work from the folks mentioned above with
their loving care getting these sources out. Also a thanks for
some of the images used in creation of the artwork. I found them
years ago on the net and do not have any way to properly credit.
---------------------------------------------------------
Notes on the Source Material
SBD (ShnID = 80840)
Perfectly balanced and flawless SBD recording and perfect transfer
by Charlie Miller. These patched tunes are also in good perfect
condition. Other than some slight speed flux and a tiny bit of hiss
it was hard to even know these tunes were sourced from a cassette.
The patch job, splice into the DSBD source, was very well done.
AUD1 (ShnID = 31211)
Great sounding above average FOB. Huge, wide open sound made directly
to PCM. Nice balanced sound, no flaws and a clean transfer.
---------------------------------------------------------
Tech Notes
FLAC/SHNs were decoded to wave. Wavemerge was used to reassemble the
entire show back to 1 long wave. CEP2.0 was used to align & synch
all of the sources. CEP2.0 was used for the multitrack mixdown.
This is a 60%-SBD, 40%-AUD1 mix.

Notes
DC offset was corrected on the FOB.
AUD source disc 2 to Disc 3 was not seamless. A reverse fade and
then removal of overlapping material.
The following songs patched from Cassette Master SBD: Tuning, Aiko,
Jack Straw, West L.A. Fadeaway, Let Phil Sing, Memphis Blues, Let
Mickey Sing and Row Jimmy. The cassette SBD used for the patch
material is very good and the source change is hard to detect.
d1t07 \"Let Mickey Sing Chant\" is just from the AUD source. This
was crossfaded, EQ\'ed with some volume adjustments to blend better.
This patch turned out very well and is hard to detect.

Notes on the Source Material
SBD (ShnID = 3908)
Perfectly balanced and flawless DSBD recording and perfect transfer
by David Gans.
AUD (ShnID = 82801)
Great sounding above average AUD. Nice balanced sound and a clean
transfer. Approx 30 seconds missing in Sugaree, Let Mikey Sing and
approx 15 seconds of Drums.
Patch (ShnID = 3325)
Nice sounding FOB that has a few spots that are overloaded. In the
end I found that using the other AUD source alone in the mix resulted
in a better outcome. Fortunately this source was able to patch the
cuts found in the primery AUD recording. Patch was used for the above
AUD source in Sugaree, Let Mikcey Sing and Drums.

Notes
The entire show is seamless and can be burned to CD with any splits
desired. Because there is a several second break after \"I Will Take
You Home\" and before \"Drums\" I found that to be the best spot as not
to cut any transisitions (like the usual drums > space). Plus this
leaves us with 3 somewhat equal length CDs.
Most between song tuning/crowd cheer was missing on the SBD source
as well as a few spots on the AUD sources. As usual, a trememdous
effort was made to have the between song flow sound as smooth and
natural as possible. Several techniques were used to do this
including volume adjustments, crossfades and borrowing crowd cheers
from other portions of the recording.

Fix of shnid 10343
The transition between CDs 2 and 3 was made seamless by deleting
overlapping material. I also patched the gap in Good Time Blues and
Estimated using the same AUD source as Scott Clugston, but this time
with cross fades and levels matched as closely as possible in CE Pro.
All shn tracks were converted to FLAC.
Bill Tetzeli (btet@adelphia.net)
12:52 AM 5/14/2006
------------------------------------------------------------------------
When this source was first circulated, the flac files contained
REPLAYGAIN tags. The wav files compressed inside the flac files are
fine, but if you listen to the flac files themselves using a player
like WinAMP, these tags cause all the tracks to be played at the same
volume. That\'s not good for concerts where some tracks are supposed to
be louder than others.
There\'s a new version of this source available. It has exactly the
same wav files; it\'s just the flac wrapper that\'s different, the
wrapper doesn\'t have REPLAYGAIN set anymore. The new version has the
same ffp file (since the wav\'s are the same), but a new md5 file
(since the flac files are different). The md5 file for the old source
is called \"orig-flac-replaygain-md5\"; the md5 file for the good new
source is called \"flac-md5\". If you have a source for this that
matches the ffp, you can create the new source by unflac\'ing the old
source and then recompressing at flac level 8 using the flac command
line tool or the flac frontend.
From now on, only the new version of the source should be circulated.
