Smiler says:

The .shns I received were ALL cut to incorrect CD sector boundaries.
I used shntool to fix the .wav files, then re-shn'ed.
The only audio modification that I made was to add a fade at the end
of the first set.
I examined all track boundaries (prior to the retracking), and I neither
heard, nor could see (under a high zoom) any discontinuities across any
track boundaries.
The recording sounds like the mics were taper-mounted (ie hat, or
whatever), rather than stand-mounted (ie the sound moves around a bit).

There is some digital distortion in the opening second of Eternity. This
is present on the source discs (and presumably the DAT master).
