Remastered using the Bertha Workstation August 4, 2015 by jashley@deadacated.com
This is a wonderful recording and from the first listen I knew there was a wonderful sound in there. Unfortunately, the original source has an unnatural high end that sounds like a filter applied during recording, possibly some type of noise reduction that was not corrected during playback. The unnatural curve can be clearly seen in frequency analysis and can be identified by the tinny essing sounds during listening. Two different filters were made, one for the first eight tracks and one for the last four tracks. This was done to accomodate the two apparently different source fingerprints as seen in frequency and spectral analysis. The sound is different for these two sets of tracks and warranted separate processing. The only other thing that was done was the application of a very small amount of audio compression. The correction brings about a more natural sound throughout the recording.
