Setup:
I employed a variant of a L/C/R Oddball Mic Technique. A "center channel" shotgun mid-side microphone was used (combination of a supercardioid shotgun and figure-8 pattern mic located directly behind) and a "left/right channel" stereo cardioid condenser mic with a 120-degree coincident crossed pair pattern. The L/R stereo condenser was placed 2.25" above and 2.25" to the left of the mid-side shotgun mic. Both were on a tripod ~6 feet off the ground, aimed at center stage. Location was section 102, row AA, seat 39 (approx 26 rows back and 13 degrees right of dead center).
