All acoustic performance and, given that, a very listenable recording. A bit noisy in terms of the crowd and bumping the mics, and even a small airplane overhead. Levels, once set, were really too high through the mdidle of The Winners, but the DAT deck or pre-amp limited the incoming signal and nothing got clipped. There are some odd noises at the very beginning as the taper got set up (velcro?) and his rig got jostled at least once.
The MC's comment "you might see him again" probably refers to Weir's appearance during Entrain's set later that day, where he played Hey Bo Diddley with Bo Diddley. I believe that might surface shortly.
Enjoy!
