After spending the afternoon touring downtown Memphis led by my guide, T-Bone (a Beale Street bum), I got to chit-chat with Rob and Chuck outside the venue.  Rob and I live near each other and he actually remembered me from his Swampdonkey shows (where he bummed several cigarettes from me).  The venue is kind-of a dump (like most old places).  The acoustics are fairly warm (thanks to the carpeted floor), and with the exception of the small balcony, the joint is almost a duplicate of Headliners in Louisville.  Show was a near sell-out.  Thanks to the guy who stepped in to keep his really drunk friend from passing out and falling onto my mic stand.  Thanks again to Steve and Troy for letting me slide my laptop and preamp under their boards for safekeeping.
