12/09/2003 | Matt | IMO, this seed doesn't sound as good as the source would lead you to believe. Also, TAO gaps between tracks. |
01/16/2004 | Bob | "Westwood One", do you otherwise mean the 'BBC'? Don't believe this guy |
01/16/2004 | Ron Broman (aka shaft) | Westwood One does mobile content delivery, meaning they broadcast radio programs from one market into another. It's entirely possible that this chap's buddy worked for Westwood One delivering content that originally aired on the BBC. Until someone proves otherwise, I have no reason to doubt the veracity of his claims. |
04/03/2004 | drworm01 | I just did a frequency analysis on this show and it looks like there's mp3 lineage somewhere along the way. I'll admit to ignorance on reading frequency analyses, but this one drops off sharply at 15 kHz just like an mp3. If someone could look at the tracks and say otherwise, great. But I think these need to be looked at again. |
04/04/2004 | Matt | I always thought this seed sounded small and suspected it may have been mp3... |
04/04/2004 | Ron Broman (aka shaft) | Thanks for the critical listening/analysis. I have updated the source info to comment on the possibility of an .mp3 generation in the lineage. Hopefully one of our skilled audiophiles can analyze the WAVs and confirm. |
