Notes:
This show is from Mike Watt's 1995 Ringspiel tour, and includes Eddie Vedder
(vocals, guitar), Dave Grohl (drums), Pat Smear (guitar, vocals), and William
Goldsmith (drums) as Watt's backing band.
"Habit" is sung by Eddie. The song later became a Pearl Jam song. "Forever -
One Reporter's Opinion" features dual-drumming, with Will on the main set and
Dave playing Hovercraft's more diminutive drum set. (Hovercraft opened the
evening - Eddie played drums for their set, wearing a wig to disguise
himself.) "The Red and the Black" is a Blue Oyster Cult song. "Secret
Garden" is a Madonna song, sung by Pat Smear. (Pat was spotted outside during
the break in Watt's set scribbling the lyrics onto a legal pad.)
Similar to the Foo Fighters set from this show, Source 1 has been
speed-corrected. Also, the gap during the tape flip on Source 1 (at the
beginning of "Secret Garden") has been filled from Source 2.
Source 1 is missing all of "Walking the Cow" and most of "Big Train", so those
have been added from the second source. However, Source 2 also lacks most of
"Walking the Cow". This is likely as "complete" as this recording will get.
I've included "bigtrain-source1.flac", which is the incomplete section of "Big
Train" from the beginning of Source 1. It seamlessly replaces tracks 1 and 2.
_____
please note that the last track is not written on a sector boundary. you will want to fix this before burning to CD. the set has been posted to the db as is, rather than being fixed first, because this is the set that is available on the archive.
