08/03/2000 | Ed Leiken | If you only have one dead show, this should be it!! It has the best Help->Slip->Franklin's EVER!! The Dead absolutely peaked this day. It's one of the rare times when they played perfectly and the sould was perfect. Sure, Jerry forgets the words right before, "If you get confused, listen to the music play" which was quite appropriate but he did perfectly otherwise. Their jams are inspired and they are SO in sync with eachother. The Peggy-O is so beautiful it makes tears come to your eyes. There are no pops, clicks, or tape hiss defects to be found (except the splice in Music where they changed reels). It's a perfect recording of a perfect show. Everyone needs this show. Sure, the Scarlet->Fire from the day before is classic and is the show that turned many of us on to tape trading/collecting many many years ago, but this show is even better! Trust me.

Patrick Murphy inexplicably missing one track, d1t10 The Music Never Never Stopped. He went to the work of tracking down that song from a complete shn set, provided the updated d1.md5 here, and also says he has the track available to fill out any copies at ftp sites, if necessary. Thanks for the extra help, Patrick! :) |

You know, the Cornell show is hailed as THE show, but the Buffalo War Memorial show just smokes start to finish. The first set is flawless. The help->slip are the tighest and most intense I've ever heard and the franklin's brings unending smiles. The music never stopped is in a word, mindblowing. The comes a time on the second set never fails to bring tears to me eyes. And that solo... If you EXPERIENCE the DEAD as opposed to listen, If you want to sweat blood, THIS show is for you :-)) |

11/08/2000 | George Shannon | After reading all these rave reviews, I almost hate to point out the cut in Not Fade Away at 1:39. Of course, its always been there on all analog and digital copies I've ever run across so I bet most people are accustomed to it by now.
06/19/2001 | PainoMan | There is a pop (most likely from a legacy sector boundary error) at the track break between Slipknot! and Franklins Tower. I know of at least one other pop like this on this show, but at the moment I can not say exactly where it is. |
