* - I was having a really shitty day, and I had figured that the
tape was coming out really poorly, because we were stuck right
in front of the subwoofers, and the crowd was a drunken mess.
During Too Much, I convinced Craig to let me do something
weird, so after it ended, I pulled the rig down, took both of
the mics, which were at about a 45-50 degree angle with each
other, parallel to the ground, and I set them at about a 70
degree angle to the ground. In essense, they were basically
standing straight up. Sounds surprisingly ok.
Note: Also, the reason this show didn't get out there sooner was
someone stole my master DAT to the show at the show--they
opened the DAP1 up while I was packing up and just swiped it.
I got another copy from Craig, who was the only patcher, but
I was sickened with the crowd, my car that had broken down,
everything, that I just gave up and never wanted to deal with
that day again. Going back and listening to the tape, it
really wasn't that bad a show.
