THE STORY

This was the first time we'd travelled to see Yonder
(me and Kim were celebrating out first anniversary -
hence the "Happy Anniversary" from Jeff towards the end
of the set), and they didnt disappoint. This was one of THE
shows that made me a fan.  The Little Turniptown Festival
was a total (but good spirited) shambles where choas reigned
with a big grin. Yonder hit the stage at 230 am  (yes, thats
not a misprint) and played til right around 420. A terrific
and quite loose show notable for one of the earliest DOnt Stop
Til You Get ENoughs, a terrific New Horizons and a tasty
Traffic Jam Sandwich.  My lasting memory is of the drunk guy
who spent the last three songs yelling loudly for "Mother Mcree's
Uptown Champions "  - you can hear him at the very end right before
the acoustic encore - and the look on his face as Yonder played
Goodbye Blue SKy. He clammed up from the opening notes and looked
like he was going to cry by the end.......

THE RECORDING

This is an excellent Brad Burleson recording from the SOundboard,
except for the encore which Brad caught with his usual taping rig
handheld in front of the guys. (sorry, no exact lineage).
Thanks, Brad.
