Notes:

First, the good news:  this is a decent audience recording.  Considering its
origin as a soundtrack recorded by a small, consumer-type camcorder, it's
a full-sounding, monaural image where just about everything can be heard plainly.

Next, the bad news:  there's some hiss and noise that is mostly audible during
the dead air between songs.  Also, there was a wicked tracking error during the
last minute or so of "Georgia Slop."  There was nothing I could do about it,
so I left it alone.  Be forewarned:  it's bad.  I believe this tracking error
is on the master, so this is pretty much all we have to go on in any case.
Given the historic nature of the show, I think it's worth seeding in spite
of the flaws.

As everyone knows (Lobos fans do, at any rate), these guys are all superb
musicians, and their shows are consisent displays of blazing passion and
technical mastery (IMHO there is more of Jimi's spirit living in Cesar Rosas
and David Hidalgo than anyone else alive today).  This show is no exception,
and it has the added bonus of a guest appearance by Jerry Garcia.

A few of my favorite things:

There's a Green Manalishi tease just before Georgia Slop.  The guys are well-known
to be fans of the Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac, and they've covered "Rattlesnake Shake"
numerous times.  I wish one of these days they'd pull out "Green Manalishi."
Like many Lobes shows, the dead air between song is full of little teases and
quotes of tunes from their youth.  Somewhere on here is the riff from Traffic's
"Light Up or Leave Me Alone."  There are usually some subtle Hendrix quotes somewhere.

Jerry plays a gold Les Paul with lots of reverb.  The next day he would play
"Born on the Bayou" with John Fogerty at the big Concert Against Aids at
Oakland Stadium (the Lobes also played their own set that day).

Thanks to Pierluigi for his advice and for all the great Los Lobos seeds he's put up!
