Notes:

Digitally Remastered using the Bertha Digital Audio Workstation by jashley@deadacated.com.  Completed April 14, 2006.

This was a terrible transfer with more than 100 digi-snits throughout the show. More than 16 hours was spent fixing most of them. There are a few small ones that remain. A couple of methods were used in fixing the digi-snits, including manually editing individual samples.

Bobby says "See you later, bye bye" at the end of One More Saturday Night. Frequency and spectral analysis shows the signature to be the same as the rest of the show. Though it may appear out of order, it is believed this is due to the show being partially broadcast on French TV and this may have been the end of the TV part of the show.

Between song tuning and banter was removed by someone and is not part of the original release. There appears to be tape machine noise between each song on the original. These small bips of noise were removed.

This is A fantastic show with absolutely wonderful sound.
Enjoy!

04/20/2006 neo_levo > DVD audio extraction

technically this isn't correct. this is an extraction of an "audio DVD" which is basically an uprendered version of a 16/44 source made with audio DVD creator. so this version has 2 gens of DAE and an uprendering and downrendering with associated dithering. because the original files are 16/44.1, the frequency response on this version is no better than the original source. this is entirely analogous to taking an mp3 and uprendering it to 16/44 WAV. you can't make new frequencies where there were none to begin with.

DVD-Audio is a specific high def format which requires different software for burning and only playable on specific DVD players with the "DVD-Audio" logon on it.

commercial DVD-Audio discs include both DVD-A versions as well as a DVD-V soundtrack so that it is universally playable. however if your DVD player doesn't specifically say "DVD-A" on it, you are not hearing the true hi-def format.
05/16/2006 jca The Audio DVD will be available on the CDead BT Server for a couple of weeks for those who would like to have the Audio DVD version. This is a nice one to play straight through.
