EX-TOAD THE WET SPROCKET SINGER BOOKS SOLO SHOW
It hasn't taken Glen Phillips long to move on after the breakup of Toad
the Wet Sprocket (allstar, July 27). The former Toad frontman will be
playing his first solo show on Thursday (Aug. 13) as part of an ASCAP
showcase at Largo in Los Angeles.
Phillips is headlining the event, which also features singer/ songwriters
Tamara Williamson, Matt Nathanson, Kim Fox -- whose debut, Moon Hut, was
released by DreamWorks last year -- and Bill (sic) Wiseman.
Phillips is expected to perform alone with an acoustic guitar, but it was
unknown at press time whether he will be debuting new songs or relying on
Toad classics. There has been no further word on rumors that Phillips would
be collaborating with Ben Folds (allstar, July 28) in the near future. Two
of his former bandmates, Todd Nichols and Dean Dinning, are still expected
to work together on future projects.
