03/06/2002 | Jonathan Miller | You can save yourself an 80 minute disc, by moving Lazy Lightning > Supplication to the start of disc two.
04/03/2002 | Patrick Donnelly | There is a splice, presumably in the master, in d1t03, at 0:07. Bobby sings "First thing I remember know//-owing, and a young'uns dream of...". Masterfully spliced, but you can hear it.
05/03/2002 | Matt Vernon | I've been informed that a more accurate lineage for the shn's I made would be master cassette > 1st gen. copies on cassette > DAT (so there should be another cassette generation in this lineage)
03/23/2003 | Sean Cribbs | I'm pretty sure that the copy of this show labeled "Shure" mics is really Moore's recording, albeit a copy of Moore's master with at least one additional analog gen. Unless, of course, Moore and the "Shure" taper were right beside each other. Listening to the start of St. Stephen, you can hear the exact same hoots and hollers, except that on the "Shure" tape the channels are swapped.
07/14/2003 | Matt Vernon | I have repeated Sean's analysis with the same conclusion - this is the Moore source with channels flipped. I used Cool Edit Pro in Multitrack view and after swapping channels and then comparing magnified sections that resolved the high frequency detail, it was obvious that these are identical sources. By the way, the Moore shn entry is preferred over this one - it sounds much better and it has the Yellow Dog story. |
