01/15/2002 | Mike | Anyone have anything to say about this seed of NYE 95? I have the AKG Cards now, is this a worthy upgrade? thanks
02/22/2002 | Mark Domyancich | Nice sound quality except there seems to be some pickup from the vibration of Fishman's bass drum - it's a little irrating to listen to with headphones but it may sound better on a stereo.
04/23/2002 | Focus | good seed. my car stereo is not very good and usually gets distorted at high volumes. This is one of those recordings that I can turn the volume ALL the way up and the sound is still clear. As far as arena FOB recordings go, I dig it.
09/03/2002 | sam kennedy | i have another source, which i believe to be the AKG 460 and i must say, i am split as to the difference in quality. i DO know that there is much more extraneous noise(i.e. audience conversation)in the "dankseed" version. as to the complete and undeniable dankness of this recording versus others, i dunno. the difference is marginal imho.
09/03/2002 | twatts | How does this compare to the Nakamichi 300 shotguns > DAT source???
09/04/2002 | Col. Forbin | Have heard all the sources for this show in circulation, except for the AKGs. Overall, the sound is pretty similar on the OTS Schoeps and the NAK300 Guns, which is to say they're good, but not stellar. The FOB Schoeps is probably the best, though as mentioned before, the bass kick drum can be a little strong/distorted (?) in this mix. On the other hand, I think Page comes through especially strong in the FOB recording. Never did a concerted comparison, but that's my take. Let's hope for a LivePhish release!
09/04/2002 | twatts | Thanks!
06/05/2004 | Jason Moleton | Have heard all sources w/ and w/o headphones now, and AKG is the best IMO. Clear on all ends and the bass drum is not excessive.
05/17/2005 | terrapanda | I've only heard this and the AKG and I prefer the AKG hands down. |
