05/28/2002 | Mike | Coulda fooled me! Sounds great, much like a SBD with some added kick in the bass dept. Great seed!
05/28/2002 | Matt-chew | I'm sorry but I truly don't see how anyone ever mistook this seed for a soundboard recording...

Just got this of futhurnet (5/13/03). I'm sorry to say folks but this is not an fob. Why do you ask? Just give it a listen! First off this is WAY too quiet to have been upfront. Not once do you hear any talking, screaming associated with fob's. I've run many a show upfront and find it very hard to believe the taper got the whole section around to perfectly quiet. If this was done in traditional format (ie. mic's in hat) at head level those floks around the taper would be apparent. The truth lies when you hear the audience clap, scream etc. It sounds distant. This leads me to believe that the mic's were in the TS and up 8'-12' in the air. Also and lastly this source sounds extremely close to my schoeps dat (patch) master from the DFC/TS, and therefore leads me to belive that was done OTS. |
