Notes:
Digitally Remastered using the Bertha Digital Audio Workstation by jashley@deadacated.com. Completed September 28, 2007.
Wav analysis shows the original source to have audio compression applied at approximately 10-15:1. This accounts for the loudness of the original source. Jamie said he applied no compression during the mastering process and Bob does not believe he and Louis used a limiter, if there was one, on this recording. Audio level compression gives loudness at the expense of dynamics and should never be applied to "original" transfers. Remasters, go to town and blow your ears out if you prefer, but, original transfers are the "Digital Masters" and should not be fooled with.
I did not want to affect the soundstage of this recording in any way as it was captured beautifully. Thus, nothing was done during the remastering process, except cleanup processes and minor low end adjustments to minimize some resonant frequencies.
This is a rich and lucious recording from 1975 and I thank Bob Menke and Louis Falanga for capturing it for us to enjoy so many years later.
