--JGB at Penn State just before the winter break must've been the greatest early Christmas present to all the heads on campus. While the quality of the tape that circulates is not as crystal-clear as some other late-70s JGB, the Penn State show is a snapshot of the JGB hitting their stride, with Keith and Donna in tow on keyboards and vocals, John Kahn on bass, and Buzz Buchanan on drums. This is a textbook JGB setlist with a knockout 19 minute encore of Delaney & Bonnie's "Lonesome & A Long Way From Home" complete with a Close Encounters jam after returning from some deep space.
