8/3/2004 Reseed Notes:
For the pre-Coventry reseed of this recording, I split the Lemonwheel Archive shows into
two folders to better reflect the actual air dates of the two shows. Don't be alarmed, no audio
has been altered.
When encoding to FLAC I received the following anomolies on five seperate encoding passes
using three different PC's for the following three files. In each case, the audio appears to be
undamaged and OK. When opening the original WAV file in Sound Forge 7, the WAV file opens, but
an error message is displayed saying: "An error occurred reading the file. Make sure you have
read access to the file/folder and that it is not corrupted." The SHN matches the db.etree.org
database. Your guess is as good as mine what the cause of this issue may be, although it's
probably some minor corruption of the original WAV file that occurred prior to the original SHN
encode. As of this time, the person that EAC-ed and/or converted to SHN is unknown.
ph-osps6-d2t10.wav: 100% complete, ratio=0.597
ph-osps6-d2t10.wav: ERROR: got partial sample
ph-osps6-d3t08.wav: 100% complete, ratio=0.518
ph-osps6-d3t08.wav: ERROR: got partial sample
ph-osps6-d3t09.wav: 99% complete, ratio=0.451
ph-osps6-d3t09.wav: ERROR: got partial sample
The FLAC encode appears to fix any corruption to the original WAV files, as opening the FLAC > WAV
WAV files do not yield any errors or warning messages, and the MD5 checksum of the FLAC > WAV WAV
file is different than the original SHN > WAV.
SHN > WAV checksum:

b15d03e9f4a968f719cefb58039cfead *ph-osps6-d3t09.wav
Regardless of the WAV > FLAC or WAV > FLAC > WAV > FLAC generation, the resulting FLAC Fingerprint
remains the same for the offending files:
ph1998-08-15d2t10.flac:e315157ba1a0e6d34406cfc6ddaf9fb5
ph1998-08-15d3t08.flac:53e30c15a5ef638fb86d49b22625eec8
ph1998-08-15d3t09.flac:f17d925b82367bcfbb224c4e415cebef
Confused? Don't sweat it. The bottom line is that the audio sounds fine and this seed is from the
original SHN files; life is good. See everyone in Coventry! - MW 8/3/2004
