8 Foot Fluorescent Tubes April 17, 1998 Higher Ground Winooski, VT Trey Anastasio, Tom Lawson, Heloise Williams, Tony Markellis, Russ Lawton source: Audio Technica 825 > DA-P1 transfer: Sony D8 -> Waveterminal 2496 -> Cool Edit 2000 (resample to 44.1, fades) -> CD Wave v1.91 -> FLAC Frontend v1.7.1 Etree edition transferred by: Jason Sobel (jasonsobel@gmail.com) 2004-10-27 notes: This show has previously circulated on CD-R, with the \"AT 822\" source. This is a fresh transfer to FLAC, and the DAT was labeled \"AT 825.\" Just to be clear, there is only one source of this show in existence. The DAT tapes that were used in this transfer are either master DATs or first generation clones. Therefore, I think the \"AT 825\" source is likely correct. Regardless, this is the only existing source of the show. Although it has circulated fairly widely as audio CDs or on analog, I have yet to see a clean transfer (with no DAE) straight to FLAC (or SHN). As on all the copies, First Tube is really saturated, and is hardly listenable. The rest of the show is much better. Too bad it\'s the only source, because it\'s such a historic show. - Disc 1 - [69:20] Set 1 01 - [08:28] - Big Bong (First Tube) 02 - [06:15] - Sand 03 - [10:58] - Free Thought (Mozambique) 04 - [10:21] - Mr. Meat Man 05 - [03:24] - Naturally to Blame -> 06 - [10:17] - Wighat 07 - [07:31] - The Silicone Fairy 08 - [05:35] - Last Tube > 09 - [06:31] - Higher Ground - Disc 2 - [70:42] Set 2 01 - [00:37] - intro 02 - [07:57] - Tore Up 03 - [12:24] - Magilla 04 - [05:44] - Sunny 05 - [15:54] - Stir It Up 06 - [06:38] - Crossroads 07 - [15:31] - Come On (Part One) 08 - [15:21] - Soul Power Jam > Pass The Peas 09 - [00:34] - Drums * 48kHz FLAC files are archived and are available upon request
