David Hollister's comments: Set 3 has unknown # of PCM gens.  Disc 3 is an
80 minute disc, but it can fit on a 74 if you want to leave off the post-show
chatter. I cleaned up pops during Dark Star with SF pencil tool.  There are
still a couple of very small spots of what sounds like static during Dark Star,
usually only in one channel.  I didn't feel they were worth bothering with.
Small clicks at 25:34, 26:35 in Dark Star. Lots of small zits and stuff
all over the place, presumably from the PCM tape.

03/03/2001 Leigh Orf If those pops/'zits' are digital, please hold off on reseeding this.
I can probably remove them easily.

Also, I notice the previous seed was a SBD, is this new
seed a different SBD or what? What really makes this
new version better?

Thanks...

04/12/2001 Bill Frank Regarding the previous comment from Leigh Orf, what makes this new version better is that there is no dropout in "I know you rider" and the segue between Dark Star>El Paso is not botched. This is not a different SBD, it is just a better transfer.
The "pops/zits" are minor. IMHO, I disagree with the statement "please hold off on reseeding this." Most of the major "pops/zits" have been fixed about as good as possible, as all circulating copies of this show have them. It may be possible to clean up the remaining ones, or it may be best to just leave it alone.
At any rate, I have heard/owned lots of different circulating copies of this show, and this one is by far the best, so my recommendation is download, seed, and spread as far and as wide as you can!
