01/20/2005 | Gary | This info file needs to be amended. This show was formatted for 2 discs. d3t01 should be d2t5, etc. Thank you Charlie; excellent work, as usual!
01/20/2005 | Diana | Thanks Gary! Updated here. I see the expanded length for whole show comes to slightly over 160 min so it'd be 2x80 discs that way, at least.
01/21/2005 | Greg Yurkovic | Unfortunately, the only way to get all of set 2 + the encore onto one disc is to use a 90/99m blank. What's listed above as disc 2 is over 87 minutes in length. I don't think there's any sensible way to fit the whole show onto 2x80m blanks.
01/22/2005 | Charlie Miller | That was a mistake on my part. I sent in a fixed info file.
01/22/2005 | Diana | OK, info file and ffp totally fixed thanks to Charlie- 3 discs after all. :)
02/04/2005 | Browning, Jack |
What was that anomaly at the end (10:16-10:29) of Fire, tape or PA? Also, did the board man really add echo to parts of the vocals of the last verse of Fire? All in all, one of the strongest post-Donna renditions of Scarlet -> Fire. Too bad it has the blemishes. |
|
02/04/2005 | Browning, Jack | I didn't want to sound like a curmudgeon with that post. Apart from the blems I mentioned, which have nothing to do with CM, this is one superb transcription of a very strong show by the band. Don't be afraid to turn it up...way up.
02/04/2005 | Charlie Miller | I don't know how I missed that flaws in FOTM. I'm going to fix it and will upload the fixed version to TOL so it can be circulated. As for the reverb on the vocals, that's the way Dan Healy mixed it at the show...cm

Note that CM did fix the issue with d2t02. The updated text file has this comment:Fix Info: and the ffp for the fixed file is gd84-04-20d2t02.flac:8d3dca78f8db8944fee25b3100a6235c

Just for reference purposes, the MD5 for the previous, *unfixed* d2t02 was: 7b19fc6524f5e09291cc314b02739ca0 *gd84-04-20d2t02.flac As of the date of this comment, the text file shown here still reflects the FFP for the previous, *unfixed* d2t02: gd84-04-20d2t02.flac:d160653fbb87aaf26b1701006631b9a4 |

I accidentally put these comments with CM's 4/19/82. They belong here for his source of 4/20: This is a great source. However I found it runs a bit slow (it's not uncommon for sources with analog generations to run a bit too fast or slow). I used Cool Edit Pro's pitch bender to raise the speed/pitch by 38 cents and found this brings the whole thing into tune with concert pitch (A=440). I should add that 38 cents is not a huge discrepency, so it may not be very noticeable to the average listener. If you're trying to play along with a musical instrument however, it will be clearly out of tune. |

12/12/2009 | charliemiller | The pitch is very much off, each set being different. The first set is slow 1.5% and the second set is slow 2.5%. A pitch corrected version has been made and will be put into circulation today.
