Scuba	life changing experience	\| \|
Paul Hampton	This was the concert of a life time. I played in a band myself at the time, at the Red River Exhibition (which literally surrounded Winnipeg Stadium where Floyd played). The concert itself was just the icing of that day. The cake itself was what happened during the afternoon, while our band was playing in a licenced bar "tent", competing with Floyd's sound check. On a break, I noticed David Gilmour standing by himself just outside the stadium, right next to our "tent". Without hesitation (and without a lot of words) I walked up to him, extended my hand, and said, "Hi Dave... Wecome to Winnipeg!" "Thanks", he said with a smile. I was stunned, went backstage in the tent to grab my PF program I bought earlier that day, and returned to ask him for his autograph, but he refused: "I'm sorry, I don't do autographs." Bummer. But the memory of that moment on that day, July 1, 1994, was autograph enough.	\| \|
