stevehosler	i worked stage crew on this show. i was a sophomore at Alabama. I still have the crew t-shirt we received. i was really into the byrds at the time and when i unloaded pete's rickenbackers i asked the guitar tech if they wouldbe playing any byrds covers! unfortunately the answer was no. 100,000 Maniacs opened and they fed us with the band on the floor of the auditorium. i remember michael stipe and natalie merchant riding bicycles around the floor together. they seemed inseparable. i remember thinking that they must be dating. i had not really listened to much REM prior to this and was so blown away by the show that i immediately went out and bought the Fables album.	\| \|
