Two of the horn players were in a traffic accident on the way to the show so only the Eugenic played, making this a very unique show. MacGregor was one of five bands playing a show that raised awareness for Earth Day.

The show was dubbed the Care Bear Independence Rally. The first fifty people in the club received a Care Bear surprise pack, which consisted of a Care Bear gift bag, a cigarette, a condom, a show flyer, and a lottery ticket. There were several special guests: Raw Dialect, Downtown Brown's Neil P. on "Kung Fu," and on the freestyle encore Kenny from The Bridge, Raw Dialect, and Big Pat. During "American Scu'me," Wax came out mid-song in suit with a bodyguard. The Care Bear story was a bit of musical drama with action unfolding onstage. Later, diapers dropped from the balcony after "Kung Fu." It was a crazy show, with MacGregor playing past the 1:30 am curfew.
