Emmanuel Jal is also on stage though he is not prominent in the tracks that were chosen for broadcast. Abdel Gadir Salim is a singer, composer and oud player from the Kordofan province, who studied European and Arabic music at the Institute of Music & Drama in Khartoum, and who is a venerated master of northern Sudanese music.
