Definitions: * minDV -- A cheap, commercially available digital video format. * master -- either a digital clone of a digital video, or you shot the video yourself. * digital video -- digital 8, miniDV, DV, DVCAM, DVPRO. * 0th generation -- see master. * clone -- A digital dub (via firewire) of a miniDV tape without any digifarts or other distortion. * generational loss -- going from an analog source to another analog source introduces video and audio degradations. VERY BAD! * full source info -- recording type (DAUD, DFOB, DSBD, etc), mic type, mic placement, deck type, conversion details.
