I,m a digital newbie! I've got stuff I have downloaded from GDLIVE and Furthernet and STG and ETREE but only over the past few months. Used to have a huge tape collecton that was recently stolen (and subsequently destroyed by the uninterested thieves) and I'm trying to rebuild (groan) at least my favorites... R |

CDG: These acetates are a considerable upgrade on the previous versions that circulated generally, which are thought to have been no better than 2nd analog gen. They are not perfect; there are a number of skips and crackles from the original source, although these have been minimised by the CD-R producer. They reportedly were mastered from an analog tape taken directly from the original acetates. The duplication of "Baby Blue" and "Johanna" on Disc ONE has not been explained, and the tracks are not identical. http://www.angelfire.com/wa/monicasdude/gelston2.htm http://www.angelfire.com/wa/monicasdude/gelston3.htm *********************************** DYLAN AND LENNON 26 May 1966 Taxi Conversation [18:38] - Legends of weed and vomit during this occasion abound | |||

Living The Blues 19. Girl Of The North Country These recordings are from the famous sessions with Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins that produced the Girl Of The North Country version that was released on Nashville Skyline. All takes are great sound quality, but the material is loose, and nothing would pass the scrutiny of an official release. The most interesting thing is hearing Dylan sing harmony with Johnny. Rarely does one |
