This tape has many audio and video issues which seem
to be present on the source tape.
Linear soundboard audio, with no adjustments.
Still, well worth watching, if only for historical value. |

Original notes:
This is high quality footage shot at the Oregon Country fairgrounds on August 28, 1982, the10th anniversary of the Creamery benefit. This is 90 percent footage of the crowd which is pretty interesting and sentimental. The remaining 10% is wonderful footage of the band, crew, backstage with the Hogfarm and Kesey groups, etc. The audio is occasionally synced with the footage, but there is often unsynced soundtrack. A wonderful document of the Scene, my guess is it's footage from the Kesey group. I enjoy it and I hope you do too. |

Video: AUD (Tripod) > (2nd Gen) VHS > Philips SA > DVD
This is the information I know about the lineage -
I'm from the East Coast and flew out to Denver for the August 1987 Red Rocks shows. I stayed with friends there that had just gotten a bunch of 1st generation videos from a West Coast connection of theirs. We scrambled to get two stereo Hi-Fi VHS decks together and I made second generation copies of all their tapes. Years later (2005) I transferred these to DVD with a Sony Hi-Fi stereo VHS deck to a Philips stand alone DVD burner. |

* - Originally 2 DVD5's for set 1; 2 DVD5's for set 2; 1 DVD5 for set 3
# - Rendered at highest quality settings with 2-pass VBR @ 8200 max, 8100 avg, 8000 min kbps.
Original disc bitrates were @ 8000 kbps, which is why I made 8000 the minimum. This re-rendering
had to be done so I could edit the sets seemlessly together. NO video quality loss is noticable, if
there even is any.

**I'm Blue I'm Lonesome** The video for this song was missing and was replaced with Jeff Mosier's footage of the band rehearsing the song in their dressing room on 11-16-94. They played the song at two different speeds and therefore the video had to be adjusted to synch. It was either that or nothing. So what you will see is the band playing on 11-16-94, and what you'll hear is the band playing on 11-14-95. |

SOURCE 1: ~5.5 hours of video on DVD I recieved in a trade about a year ago, believed to be from the same taper as the 12/30 and 12/31 afternoon sets. Mostly shot from left side of stage pretty close up.
SOURCE 2: ABC Proshot footage ~ 1 hour.
SOURCE 3: From DrRock - Same as source 1 but more complete and from VCD. This was used to patch,
although the final hour is believed to be a different source,
SOURCE 4: From Captain_Kirk - Captain_Kirk's personal footage shot from right side of stage, pretty close up, first gen VHS.
SOURCE 5: From cowhork - Sony hi-8 video walkman > mounted in tapers section, recieved as DVD's |
