About a month back, this vintage Chicago show arrived in my mailbox due to the ongoing generosity fellow DIME member, JackStraw42 (thanks again, bud!).
I highly doubt this is the complete performance (due to the glaring omissions of "25 Or 6 To 4", "Saturday In The Park", et al)...yet this may very well be the complete RECORDING from the show.
Here's the setlist:
01. Introduction
02. Call On Me
03. Harry Truman
04. Anyway You Want
05. Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?
06. Old Days
07. Beginnings
08. Just You 'N' Me
09. (I've Been) Searchin' So Long
10. Mongonucleosis
Lineage: CDR (from JackStraw42) > AudioCrusher > WAV > Nero wave editor & CD Wave (to edit out small gaps and for retracking) > FLAC Frontend > FLAC
Caveat emptor: Please listen to the mp3 samples provided in the Comments section. Is the sound quality for this AUDIENCE recording a little rough at times? Sure, of course. But then again, please consider:
1. This recording is from 1975 (over 32 years ago!) in an OUTDOOR stadium,
2. The legendary TERRY KATH is still present and accounted for,
3. There are some fine performances in this show,
4. This show features a quite a nice handful of vintage Chicago songs which--to varying degrees--have disappeared from the band's setlists, such as:
- "Call On Me"
- "Harry Truman" (really rare setlist appearance!) <-- Maybe we can use a guy like Harry these days, in 2008???
- "Anyway You Want"
- "Old Days"
5. As always, you're getting this bad boy **FOR FREE**!!! So **NO REFUNDS**!!! :)
If you like/appreciate this torrent, won't you please take a moment to post a comment on the board (especially those of you who never/rarely do)? It won't kill you, I promise. And in addition, please throw JackStraw42 a bone by sending a Thank You his way (for without his kindness, I wouldn't have this show to share with all of you).
I hope you like it.
