Previously uncirculated, this is the first recording of Max Webster to emerge with Jim Bruton on keyboards (Terry Watkinson joined the band in February 1974). The recording is undated, and it's almost certainly a late 1973 bar date in Toronto.

As evidenced by the edits between the tracks, they appear to be comped from a longer tape that is long lost. But what has been preserved here is pretty incredible - these are four of my personal favorite tracks ever by this band. It was just another night for them, but for us it's a revelation of how good they were even in the beginning. They are young and hungry, rock solid, taking no prisoners.
