This peformance consisted on one long, unnamed piece. Perhaps one the band's more avid fans can help identify the title(s).

Lineage: KUSP-FM -> Kenwood KT-6007 analog tuner -> Echo Digital Audio INDIGO io soundcard -> Sony VGN-FS570 laptop -> Total Recorder -> wav -> Adobe Audition 3.0 (reduce hiss by -28dB, fades) -> dbPoweramp -> FLAC(8). The original signal was very noisy and aggressive hiss reduction has resulted in some dulling of the sound.

This is one of many shows that I recorded over the years 2000-2013 from KUSP-FM, Santa Cruz, from my hotel room while attending the Monterey Jazz Festival. The sound quality varied from year to year based on the reception in the particular room I was staying in. The reception was worse than usual in 2008, resulting in excessive hiss. My personal preference was to reduce the hiss at some sacrifice of sound quality. Before and after samples are attached.

In the weeks to come I'll seed more of my MJF recordings (most with better sound) as partial payment for years of leeching. I hope you'll find some you enjoy.
