The Forum (Night 4/5)
Devotional Tour

http://www.depechemode.com

Notes: This is night 4 of 5 in Los Angeles. The Devotional Tour was by far my favorite era of Depeche. Alan Wilder since then has been sorely missed. I used to be a very big DM fan but have lost touch as all of the new albums just don't sound DM to me… I've been going back through my collection and enjoying these shows immensely. It reminds me how awesome this band was and still is. I am archiving my whole live collection into a 2TB external HD as the CD's I have (over 1,200) are getting a little excessive. No one trades with CD-R's anymore so I am archiving everything into FLAC and putting it on the drive then making data DLDVD's. Less space = more happy. anyways… enough with the stories.

Here is the LA show. To my knowledge this show is uncirculated or has not been shared throughout the DM trading community. I got this from slickmode back in 2004 and really didn't do anything with it. Its probably the best sounding recording from the 5 nights as we all know the others were not good. Enjoy this!

But most of all… I know there are some big DM tapers/traders who have accounts here on DIME I am trying to push the envelope a little bit here. We are living in a generation of traders who are on a "get it now basis". No one trades anymore and everyone torrents thats just how it is. I am going to share everything in my collection as I go through it. I would really encourage you all to do the same. (you know who you are!) You guys have some fantastic stuff and I know other people out there would love to enjoy it with their ears as well. People who say that bootleggers will get a hold of their recordings… I don't see it happen anymore. I can tell you from all the Nine Inch Nails recordings I taped this summer I have not see ONE for sale anywhere… So please do it for the other fans who know will enjoy it. You will get more pleasure out of sharing your stuff and getting a few "thank you" comments than keeping them for the 20+ years you have had them stocked away in whatever you have them in.

Lastly, JLW thank you so much for sharing all your DM recordings from the past. They are spectacular and you are one of the reasons I am doing this. Because you gave fans recordings that they can enjoy forever. Hope you guys like this. I'll try and post one everyday if I can.

Ryan
