It was the 6th time I've seen Brendan on his tour supporting his new album, ARK. From all of them, I liked this gig the most as the setting was absolutely amazing- Union Chapel is a great venue and fitted perfectly Brendan's performance IMO.

I spoke to Brendan before his gig in Glasgow and asked him if I could record from the soundboard- surprislngly he gave me his kind permission! I didn't have my cables with me then and I made a bit silly mistake at the next gig in Manchester so wasn't able to tape those... but this recording from London (the last gig of the UK part of the tour) turned out to be as good as it could be, I was (and am) overly happy with it!
A couple of days ago got the green light to share this one here so hope you will enjoy it:)

About the recording-
I did'nt have the chance to set up my levels before the gig so had to do it manually right when they kicked off. Basically, after the first note they played I rushed back to the mixing desk to check the recorder- resulting ups and downs in volume at the first 40 seconds of The Arcane. After that, the recording went just fine (at the same time I was doing filming as well).
The first third of the show is a bit heavy on the keyboard (noticable on A Passage In Time) but after that, everything gets in balance and giving the listener a fabulous experience of Brendan's best. At one point in Tree Of Life, the keyboard suddenly stopped working, living them finish the song without Astrid. There is a noticable pop on Wintersun (at 28sec) which comes from the desk itself. As with other soundboard recordings, this one almost has no noise from the audience. I resisted to touch the whole thing- only some correction on the volume had been done. It is a rocking recording!
