unknown gen. Soundboard recording. Judging the few hiss, this seems rather low gen., maybe 2nd or 3rd gen. This cassette (TDK SA90) -> playback on Harman Kardon CD491 -> Zoom H2n (at WAV 16/44) -> SDcard -> HD -> Audacity (edit /remaster) -> WAV 16/44 -> TLH8 -> FLAC

Though not clearly stated on the tapesheet, the absence of almost all audience noise, and the clear instrument-mix, lead me to the conclusion that this
must be a soundboard recording. If you know better, thanks for your info. Typical soundboard hiss between the songs, but those are clear and energetic.

Huh, the tapes from the 1988 Tour of Rapeman never seem to end...Here's another one from Wien (or Vienna, as some may call this nice city in the heart of Austria), and if Steve Albini does not fool me and you, a special treat, as his backing band is the rhythm section of Dinosaur Jr.! Between the tracks he annouces both Lou Barlow and Murph... Well, as the Hamburg show from 10/30 was just 2 days ago on that date in Wien, and there was most likely another stop in between those two cities (which are - for european standards) far from each other, it is remarkable how good those two "dinosaurs" fit into the sound. So, I hope you dig this. SB.
