Tech Notes:	Grateful Dead 12/09/90 Compton Terrace Amphitheatre Chandler, AZ Graceful Duck Archive 1st Gen VHS > Standalone Panasonic DMR-E50 (XP)> TMPGenc DVD Author 3 Chapters: 13 NTSC / Stereo (Black & White) TRT: 2:02:31 Audio codec: AC3 Audio bitrate: 256 kb/s Video codec: MPEG2 Video bitrate: 4007 kb/s This was recorded by a friend who has given me permission to share it here. The master tape suffered from chroma issues resulting in a bright pink color, and audio distortion on several songs. I have omitted the offending tracks. To remedy the pink oversaturation, I played the tape back using an s-video to RCA splitter. S-video, is an analog video signal that carries video data as two separate signals: luma (luminance) and chroma (color). Connecting only the luma cable to my standalone dvd recorder created a black and white image. Here is the quick-fix edited version of this excellent concert.
