Here’s one that will get unnoticed by all but the most ardent…
A completely uncirculated master direct from the archives of famed SST producer, SPOT…
Seems Spot was on tour with TSOL running sound fer them, and pulled tapes of the other bands on the bill this evening, including Scratch Acid, and a certain other band who’ll remain nameless (b\c I’m not posting their set..) But, this here…oh my…what a treat…a couple of unreleased tracks, a blazing performance, and great sound, which is an audience recording, but very likely recorded with external mics through the SBD… These are the type of things that come about once every few years…and since Sunday marks the 30th anniversary of this show (eerie coincidence!), it’s about time some fans get to hear it for the first time, methinks… This may get a few cordial ‘thanks’ from most, if even THAT, but fer those who know what this is, and the BAFFLING rarity of it, your jaw, as was mine when I found it, is probably on the floor right now. This will do nothing fer my ratio, but it’ll certainly do a lot for your earholes…and isn’t that what it’s all about?.. Tapes like this are the reason we collect.

Drummer Rey Washam left the band after this gig, but returned in 1984, thankfully. This marks what could have been the last show fer the band…glad he decided to return!...
