J-Card Comment: | here's the original lineup of blondie, recorded at the palladium in new york city, opening up for iggy pop on march 3, 1977: debbie harry (vox); chris stein (gtr); gary valentine (bs); jimmy destri (keys); and clem burke (drums). it's an audience recording but considering its age, doesn't sound too bad. it was one of the first blondie boots i got; i bought the original tape around 1981 in a really tiny, dirty hardcore punk record shop in the east village called "the rat cage." two songs from this gig were available on a seven-inch boot single called "too cool too care," but i've never seen this show offered on anyone's list in its entirety before until I started passing it around recently. enjoy it... |
